EPT Season #5: EPT London £5,400 No Limit-Hold'em
EPT, 2008-10-06, by Ozone
With four players left in the EPT London Main Event, things weren't looking so good for American Michael Martin. He lost a race for most of his stack and was left with less than 100,000 chips while his opponents collectively had around six million chips. Martin then proceeded to go on the run of a lifetime and won the tournament in the biggest comeback in EPT history.
Swede Michael Tureniec finished second for £525,000. Marcin Horecki took third place and £303,000 back to Poland.
Also at the final table was German Johannes Strassmann. This was the fourth time Strassmann cracked the top nine in an EPT event in the past ten months. He finished 7th for £120,000.
Budapest, Hungary will make its debut as the host of an EPT event on October 28th. The buy-in for that event is €4,300.
